Charleston, South Carolina – November 11, 2010 – Sandra Chzasz, Project Manager at GEL Engineering, LLC, a Charleston-based environmental and engineering consulting firm, presented “Taking the Next Step” at the recent 4th annual Green Is Good For Business conference. The presentation focused on clean air initiatives including the firm’s anti-idling campaign and gas cap check program.
Held September 14, 2010, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, the conference targeted all South Carolina businesses, organizations and institutions and focused on identifying measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and conserve South Carolina’s natural resources. The conference was developed in partnership by the City of Columbia’s Climate Protection Action Campaign (CPAC) and the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control’s Office of Solid Waste Reduction and Recycling and Center for Waste Minimization.
