At GEL, we often receive requests to solve unique analytical problems in which the existing standard analytical methods are inadequate either due to a lack of sensitivity, unacceptable matrix interferences, or lack of specificity. In many cases, the analytical requirements may be so unique that no standard method may exist at all.
GEL's Specialty Analytical Services Group provides customized, non-routine, quantitative analytical solutions utilizing state-of-the-art instrumentation. Our dedicated staff has over 25 years of LC/MS/MS and GC/MS experience and has worked in collaboration with state and federal agencies including the EPA, DOD and DOE to develop novel analytical methodologies. We are experts at developing unique analytical methods in complex matrices using the most up to date analytical technology available.
GEL has six LC/MS/MS instruments including two Applied Biosystems API QTrap 4000s. The QTrap, by virtue of its linear Ion Trap Technology, provides full scan MS/MS spectra for very low concentrations of target analytes and spectral confirmation data similar to EI GC/MS. No other environmental laboratory is equipped with an equivalent level of LC/MS/MS instrumentation.
