Non-Destructive Testing
We commonly conduct non-destructive testing and evaluation of concrete structures for a variety of clients. The techniques we
utilize investigate the location of reinforcement, concrete quality, and the thickness of concrete members without coring. We
can also provide quick and accurate plan view maps of conduits, pre-stressed cables, voids, and rebar mesh placement. Common
problems with concrete structures such as reinforcement corrosion and associated deterioration can be detected before the problem
becomes visible on the surface, thereby minimizing repair costs. In order to investigate your structure, GEL Geophysics, LLC
utilizes Mala Geoscience's newly released 1.6 MHz GPR antenna, as well as lower frequency antennas,
coupled with various seismic and electrical applications.
