Emission Testing & Evaluations
For an automobile manufacturer, GEL Engineering, LLC provided emissions testing services associated with a combustion turbine power facility. We completed engineering and compliance testing, enabling our client to establish baseline emissions limits. We also assisted in communications and coordination of the testing with the state regulatory agency. During the performance of this task, GEL Engineering, LLC assisted the client with diagnosing and correcting a problem with the fuel system for the turbines. This action greatly improved the performance of the turbines, and as a result, the process was able to run more efficiently and reduce energy cost.
GEL Engineering, LLC performed emissions testing services for a pulp and paper manufacturer to determine whether a control device was necessary for the process. GEL Engineering, LLC personnel developed innovative testing methods to determine emissions along various points in the process that had previously been unable to be monitored. As a result of this project, the client was able to determine that a control device was not necessary, thereby saving an estimated million dollar installation charge.
For a textile manufacturer, GEL Engineering, LLC provided emissions testing services for engineering studies. We assisted the client in evaluating the production rate as it corresponded to the emissions limits of the facility. GEL Engineering, LLC developed testing methods, in accordance with federal and state regulations, that enabled the client to increase the production rate of the process, while staying within the emissions limitations stated in its permit.
