Natural Resource & Wetland Delineation/Permitting
For a utility company, GEL Engineering, LLC provided natural resource services associated with a combustion turbine generating facility. We completed a
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessment and a Threatened and Endangered Species Study. We also prepared the Joint Federal and
State Permit Application for Waters of the U.S. or Critical Areas of South Carolina, Section 10/404 Permit and Section 401 Certification. We successfully
completed our permits in a compressed timeframe so that our client could proceed with construction on schedule.
GEL Engineering, LLC performed wetland-related services, through our architectural client, for a County's Parks and Leisure development that included 100
acres of wetlands. GEL Engineering, LLC performed the wetland delineation and provided a wetland mitigation plan to off-set the impacts to the wetland areas.
This project also involved significant coordination with the appropriate regulatory agencies during the permitting process.
