About Us
Tour the Lab
One of the largest analytical testing laboratories in the United States providing state-of-the-art services for diverse and complex projects.
GEL’s laboratory facility encompasses more than 52,000 square feet of contiguous space on the campus. Our one-story, front-to-back design helps us efficiently receive, prepare, store and analyze samples. The facility is designed with a specific focus on the ventilation, airflow controls, laboratory isolation, climate controlled sample storage, and security and safety infrastructure to ensure the integrity of your samples as well as the safety of our staff.
Workflows Designed for Safety and Timeliness
Our team of sample technicians take great care in receiving your samples: checking for sample integrity and preservation, logging in all pertinent information into our state-of-the-art custom Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and labeling with unique bar codes that track the samples throughout the entire process.
Oftentimes, samples are pre-logged before we receive them at the laboratory, due to electronic field documentation. This saves time, transcription errors, and money on your projects. Contact us to learn more about how GEL Laboratories can provide solutions for electronic field documentation.

Advanced Computer Systems for Accurate, Cost-Effective Client Services
GEL developed a proprietary networked LIMS with extreme flexibility in mind, to evolve with the array of quality services we can provide. Among many others, the LIMS provides the following functions:
Maintains Project Specific Requirements for Each Unique Statement of Work
This includes contract line item analytical tests, price per test, data package specifications, EDD specifications, turnaround times, detection limits, as well as any unique requirements for handling of samples.
Tracks the Status and Location of Each Sample Container
with bar code identification. Each unique sample container is tracked as it is processed throughout the laboratory from receipt, sample storage and analysis to sample archival and ultimately sample disposal.
Batches QC Samples
with analytical samples ensuring traceability of QC data, and performs automatic checks to ensure that results fall within the acceptable QC range.
Interfaces Analytical Instrumentation Directly
to the system, improving sample throughput and eliminating the possibility of data input errors.
Generates Customized Reports and Electronic Data Deliverables
tailored to specific client needs. We support more than 300 unique EDD formats, including the GIS and SEDD formats.
Tracks Laboratory Capacity, Turnaround Time and Forecasts Workload
in each laboratory department (i.e. Volatiles, Metals, Gamma Spectrometry, etc.).
